Prayer changes everything. Prayer, at its heart, is an act of faith, asking God to step in and believing that He is listening. Scripture reminds one of the power of prayer. The Old Testament shows that God is there for His people again and again.
- In Isaiah 41:10, God’s support is confirmed: “... do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
- The New Testament explains, “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results” (Jas. 5:16).
- Jesus taught his followers to bring every need before God, and He assures all that “whatever you ask the Father in my name He will give you” (Jn. 16:23).
