Kevin J. Calkins, Ph.D. P ’28

Dr. Kevin J. Calkins serves as President of Cathedral Catholic High School. With more than 26 years of experience in Catholic education, he is dedicated to advancing the school’s mission of character, faith, knowledge and responsibility. As a parent of a current Don, Dr. Calkins brings both professional leadership and personal commitment to the Cathedral Catholic community. (Ex officio member of the Board of Regents.)

Fr. Steve Callahan

Fr. Steve Callahan was ordained a priest for the Diocese of San Diego in 1987. Over nearly four decades of ministry, he has served in numerous capacities including Associate Pastor at Guardian Angels in Santee, and a variety of diocesan leadership roles such as Assistant to the Bishop, Vice Chancellor, Rector of St. Francis Seminary, Chancellor, Vicar General, Judicial Vicar, and Diocesan Administrator. Fr. Callahan has served as Judicial Vicar since 2010 and as Pastor of St. Brigid Parish since 2003.

Susan Carter P ’06 ’08 ’10, CPA, Board Treasurer

Susan Carter is the mother of three Cathedral Catholic High School graduates. During her daughters’ time at CCHS, she served as President of the Parent Association for two years and contributed to many school committees. A CPA with dual bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of San Diego, Susan has held financial leadership roles in both private and public companies. She currently chairs the Finance Committee of the Board of Regents and serves on several boards and finance committees for nonprofit organizations throughout San Diego.

Vincent Castro P ’13 ’15 ’18, Multi-Car Dealership Owner & Operator

Vincent Castro is a longtime member of the Cathedral Catholic community and the proud parent of three Dons alumni. A University of New Orleans graduate with a B.S. in Business, he worked his way through college in automotive sales and went on to build a successful career as an entrepreneur and owner of multiple dealerships across Southern California. Vincent brings decades of business leadership and community involvement to his role on the Board of Regents and is an active member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Poway.

Martin Correia ’87, Principal of MMC Real Estate LLC, Board Chairperson

Martin M. Correia, the current Board Chairperson, is an esteemed alumnus from the Class of 1987. Known as San Diego's Favorite Son, Martin leads a prominent real estate firm and is a dedicated community leader with longstanding ties to the Cathedral Catholic community. He has contributed his expertise to over 15 nonprofit organizations, with a focus on supporting youth and women overcoming challenges in San Diego. Martin also served on the Diocesan Pastoral Council under Bishop Brom and led the Don's Alumni as President from 2006 to 2012. His professional acumen and deep-rooted connection to the school empower him to guide today's students in embracing the values of faith, scholarship, and service.

Rev. Brent Kruger, Ph.D.

Fr Brent Kruger is a priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego. He serves as both Vicar for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs, and as Pastor of Saint Thérèse of Carmel Parish and Notre Dame Academy. He sits on the Diocesan Commission for Integral Human Development, the Diocesan Council for Synodality, the Advisory Board for the Permanent Diaconate, and The Board of Regents and the Board of Directors for Cathedral Catholic High School. He has been ordained for 29 years and has experience in Social Justice work (running a homeless shelter and soup kitchen in Phoenix) and higher education (teaching Biblical Studies – both Old and New Testaments – at the undergraduate and graduate levels). Born and raised in California, he spent most of his adulthood back East but is happy to be back in California again.

Leticia Oseguera

Leticia Oseguera serves as the Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of San Diego, where she oversees the educational mission and leadership of 48 Catholic schools across the region. With more than 25 years of experience in education, she previously served as principal of Mater Dei Juan Diego Academy and as a high school teacher prior to that. She holds a Master of Arts in Education, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration and a BA in Spanish Literature.(Ex officio member of the Board of Regents.)

Tracy Skorheim ‘06

Tracy Skorheim is a proud member of the Don’s alumni community, class of 2006. She is a C.P.A. specializing in tax planning and compliance for various individuals, trusts, and entities. When not working, you’ll find her spending time with her niece and nephew, traveling, at the driving range, or participating in Dons alumni events. Tracy looks forward to being a part of the Board of Regents to serve Cathedral Catholic and its mission.

Monica Stapleton P’25 ’27, LMFT, Board Secretary

Monica Stapleton is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of a nonprofit organization that supports Hispanic immigrant families in pursuing the American Dream. Through her organization, she offers education and empowerment programs in areas such as life skills, technology, and wellness. Now in her second year as Board Secretary, Monica also serves on the Catholic Identity Committee, collaborating with CCHS’ Catholic Mission Office to provide service and faith formation opportunities for Dons families. She is the proud mother of two current Dons, with one more to come!

Carolyn Sturz

Carolyn Sturz serves as Chief Financial Officer for Cathedral Catholic High School.  She has served the University of San Diego High School and Cathedral Catholic in our Business Office for over 30 years.  Carolyn has public accounting firm, public, private, for-profit, not-for-profit, large, and small business accounting experience. She holds an MBA, Masters in Information Technology, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting.  Carolyn provides leadership and stewardship in support of the school’s mission. Brian Tsu, Esq. P ’29

Brian Tsu is serving his second term on the Board of Regents and contributes to both the Catholic Identity and Fundraising Committees. A Partner at Higgs Fletcher & Mack LLP, he practices trust, estate, and taxation law. Brian is an active parishioner at Our Lady of the Rosary, where he serves as a catechist, lector, and Finance Council member. He and his wife, Lissa, have a daughter who is a current CCHS student.

Kevin Webb P ‘29

Kevin is a Christ-following husband and father of four and grandfather of two. His wife, Renee and he live in La Jolla. And their youngest son, MacArthur attends Cathedral as a rising sophomore, class of 2029. Our home parish is Saint Bridgets in La Jolla.

An entrepreneur with over 30 years’ experience in investing and building successful businesses throughout the U.S., Kevin is the founder of Accord Asset Partners. Beyond being a core tenet behind the firm’s investment strategy, he provides mentorship and guidance to the entire team. As an entrepreneur himself, Kevin brings a valuable perspective to the firm’s investments, connecting with business operators on a personal level. Prior to Accord Asset Partners, he founded and managed several successful businesses, ranging from Accord Capital, a single family office, to startups to acquisitions to turnarounds, in a variety of industry sectors including hospice, home health care, hospital, real estate, and lending. He’s seen a lot in his time, which allows him to provide strategic guidance to Accord Assets Partners’ clients. Kevin received his MBA from the University of Texas and his Bachelor of Science in Economics from George Mason University.
