A Vocation in Catholic Education

Cathedral Catholic High School was established by the Roman Catholic Bishop of San Diego to carry out the mission of providing Catholic secondary education in the Diocese of San Diego.

As a Dons alumnus, working at Cathedral Catholic feels like home. I am surrounded by dedicated and talented teachers, smart and friendly students, and supportive parents.  I truly enjoy coming to work every day.

Gary Remiker ‘90, Math Teacher and Head Varsity Baseball Coach

Teaching at Cathedral is the fulfillment of my life's vocation. It is so important to me to be able to incorporate my Catholic faith into my teaching practice. Educating souls in the math classroom and accompanying them on their journeys to happiness and holiness is the greatest joy I've ever known.

Christine LaPorte, Math Department Chair and Dons for Life Moderator

The sense of community at Cathedral Catholic is second to none.  The campus is full of amazing people who are always willing to help.  Working here has been a blessing, and I look forward to being here for many years to come.

Ryan Wiegand ‘05, Special Education Teacher and Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach
