Cathedral Catholic will host summer camps for rising 1st grade through 8th grade students this summer. Registration is now open!

2026 Dons Summer Camps Dates

Session 1: Monday through Friday, from June 15 - 19 & June 22 - 26

Session 2: Monday through Friday, Monday through Friday from July 6 - 10 & July 13 - 17

Camps Offered in Summer 2026

Dons Defend

Event Policy: Families have until May 22, 2026 to get a refund if they choose to cancel their attendance at a camp. No refunds will be given after May 22, 2026. - This event has a no refund policy.

Location: Classroom and campus

This camp will focus on basic self-defense techniques, safety, situational awareness and confidence-building. The schedule includes a balance of physical training, educational sessions and fun activities to keep kids engaged and learning.

Dons Defend: June 22 - 26: This camp is for rising first graders, second graders, third graders and fourth graders. There will be a waiver for parents to sign for a fun board-breaking demonstration if the kids would like to participate -- very simple and fun for the kids. Dons Defend: July 6 - 10: This session expands on the core self-defense principles with more advanced, age-appropriate techniques. This camp is for rising fifth graders, sixth graders, seventh graders, and eighth graders. There will be a waiver for parents to sign for a fun board-breaking demonstration if campers would like to participate. Students will be introduced to situational awareness strategies, basic knife and gun defense concepts, and controlled grappling/MMA-based techniques that emphasize safety, confidence, and decision-making in real-world situations.

Arts & Crafts

Location: Classroom

Over the course of the week, we will be creating fun arts and crafts projects to help campers foster their creativity skills and love of art. Campers will also be developing their problem-solving and teamwork skills while participating in collaborative outdoor arts and crafts activities. By the end of each day, campers will have their own craft creation to bring home as a keepsake. This camp is for rising first graders, second graders, third graders, and fourth graders.

Dons Aquatic Adventure Swim Camp

Location: Pool 

Dons Aquatic Adventure Swim Camp is a week-long program where campers will improve their swimming skills, gain essential water safety knowledge, and build lasting friendships through fun pool games—all in a safe, supportive environment.

Each day is carefully balanced between developing crucial swimming skills and applying them in engaging pool activities. Campers will focus on a new skill each day—Backstroke, Freestyle, Butterfly, Breaststroke, and Diving/Treading Water—and have opportunities to practice these skills throughout the week.

Daily activities include a mix of learning and fun using various activities such as the diving board, inflatables, water balloons, beach balls, noodles, and more. Each day concludes on the pool deck with social time, giving campers a chance to strengthen friendships while enjoying a sweet treat.

Please note: On the first day, each camper’s swimming ability will be evaluated to ensure they can safely and successfully participate in camp activities.

This camp is open to rising second graders through rising sixth graders. Please reach out with any questions!

Campers MUST be proficient swimmers in order to attend this camp.

Girls Soccer Camp

Location: Lower Field

CCHS girls soccer camps provide players a rounded soccer experience covering a broad range of soccer techniques, skills, and tactics. Players will be challenged at an appropriate level while receiving instruction in a fun, positive environment.

Equipment: cleats, running shoes, shin guards, a water bottle, a snack and a swimsuit/towel.

Girls soccer camp is offered across two different weeks. Families can select from the below dates.

June 15 - 19, mornings 8:30 am to 12pm -- Rising 9th graders
or
June 22 - 26; mornings from 8:30 am to 12pm -- Rising 5th through 8th graders

Young Authors: Short Stories and Comic Creation

Young Authors: Short Stories and Comic Creation summer camp for 3-5th graders! 

This fun camp is designed for students in grades 3-5 who have a passion for writing and creativity. Throughout the week, campers will embark on a journey of imagination and self-expression as they engage in a variety of interactive activities, including collaborative writing exercises and outside exploration time. By the end of the camp, each student will proudly showcase their own original short story and comic strip, demonstrating their growth as young authors. This camp is the perfect opportunity for aspiring writers to explore their creativity, build confidence and have a blast in a supportive and encouraging environment. No prior experience is needed, just a love for storytelling and a desire to unleash one’s imagination!

This interactive camp is designed for young writers and artists who are eager to unleash their creativity and explore the world of storytelling. Through collaborative workshops, campers will dive into the art of crafting captivating short stories and dynamic comic strips, all while getting helpful feedback in a supportive community. They will learn essential storytelling techniques, develop well-rounded characters, create vivid settings, and master the art of plot development. With guidance from an experienced English teacher, campers will bring their stories to life through illustrations and dialogue, culminating in a showcase of their unique creations. Join us for a fun camp where imagination and self-expression thrive, empowering young authors to become masters of their own narratives. No prior experience is required, just a passion for storytelling and a desire to embark on an exciting creative journey!

Dons Basketball Camp

Location: Gym

Join Coach Bousley and the Cathedral Catholic basketball staff for a fun, high-energy camp focused on fundamentals, teamwork, and player development. Open to boys and girls in grades 1–8, this camp emphasizes the building blocks of basketball—dribbling, shooting, passing and defense—through age-appropriate drills, competitions, and games.

Whether your child is picking up a ball for the first time or looking to sharpen their skills, Dons Basketball Camp is the perfect place to grow as a player while having fun. Coach Bousley brings years of coaching experience and a passion for teaching young athletes how to play the game the right way—with confidence, effort, and a love for the sport.

Campers will leave with improved skills, new friendships and a foundation for becoming a well-rounded basketball player.

This camp is available for registration for the following weeks (camp duration is one week)

All camps are 8:30 am to 12 pm and are open to grades 1 through 8! 

Camp dates are:

Dons Baseball Camp

Event Policy: Families have until May 22, 2026 to get a refund if they choose to cancel their attendance at a camp. No refunds will be given after May 22, 2026. This event has a no refund policy.

Dons baseball camp will provide instruction and drills in all facets of the game of baseball. Students will learn the fundamentals of outfield and infield play, pitching, hitting and base running. Instruction will be provided by CCHS Dons varsity baseball coach, Gary Remiker.

Campers should wear appropriate baseball attire (hat, baseball sweats or athletic pants, cleats or tennis shoes) and bring their own glove, bat, and helmet.

Select from the following camps:

  • June 15-19, 8:30 am - 12 pm: Incoming 3rd - 6th graders, ages 8-11 (younger players with advanced skills for their age can also be included)
  • June 15 - 19, 12:30 pm - 4 pm: Incoming 6th through 9th graders (ages 11-14)

Tennis Camp for Advanced Beginners and Up

Location: Tennis courts

This camp is mainly for advanced-beginners to intermediate players, but all skills levels are welcome! It is designed to be fun, to help participants develop recreational tennis skills, and to give players a chance to experience and improve in match play. In this camp, we will focus on the development and refinement of basic tennis skills.

The only requirements for this camp are that you have a racket and you're willing to spend 3.5 hours a day on a tennis court. We'd love to have you! 

This camp is for rising fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eigth graders.

Girls Flag Football

Location: Manchester Stadium

Dons Girls Flag Football run by our school's two-time league-winning head coach in girls' varsity flag football! Join us for an action-packed Girls Flag Football Camp designed to build confidence, skills, and a love for the game in a fun environment! This camp is perfect for all experience levels, from first-time players to seasoned athletes looking to sharpen their game.

This summer, rising fifth grade girls through rising eighth grade girls are invited to sign up for a week long flag football camp! Whether she’s new to the sport or looking to improve her game, our camp offers a supportive and exciting environment for girls of all skill levels. Each day, players will be participating in key flag football drills to develop and refine their skills in the sport. Each day will offer scrimmages and will model current CIF high school flag football rules. 

At the end of the week on Friday, there will be a scrimmage that parents are welcome to come and watch! This new girls sport is exploding across the country! Come have a great week of flag football with us!

Dons Beach Volleyball Camp

Get ready for sun, sand, and spikes!
This beach volleyball camp for 5th through 8th grade girls is a fun opportunity to build upon the fundamentals of the game. Players will learn key skills like passing, serving, setting, and movement through exciting drills, friendly competitions, and tons of game play. Whether your athlete is brand new or already loves volleyball, this camp focuses on confidence, teamwork, and enjoying the game in a positive, high-energy beach environment. Come play, learn, and make great summer memories in the sand!

Rising Dons Instrumental Music Institute

Rising Dons Instrumental Music Institute

Morning Session: 8:30 AM – 12pm | String Orchestra
Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass

Afternoon Session: 12:30 PM – 4 pm | Band Instruments
Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, Percussion

Middle school students with prior experience on their instrument are invited to a week-long music camp, rehearsing ensemble repertoire under the direction of Cathedral Catholic High School music program faculty. Students will also explore engaging musical concepts and perform in a final concert. String orchestra and band students attend separate sessions, so please be sure to sign up for the correct time!

Adventure STEAM Camp

Location: Classroom & campus areas

In Adventure STEAM Camp, campers will learn about engineering and science through exciting demonstrations and fun hands on projects such as mini robots, egg drop and water rockets.
