Cathedral Catholic offers retreats for each of the four classes. Each retreat is based on a part of the school’s Community Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, Let my gifts change the world, help us live the call, build the Kingdom, Veni Sancte Spiritus (translation – Come Holy Spirit).
ALL Cathedral Catholic High School student retreats are included in tuition. There is NO COST to students for their grade-level retreat.
Teachers value the education of the whole child and understand the importance of faith and retreats. They encourage retreat participation and help students manage their missed classwork.
Freshman Retreat is a one-day retreat held on campus on February 16, 17, 18 and 19, 2027. The Freshman Retreat theme is “Let My Gifts Change the World,” and the goal is to help freshmen see themselves as a unique, beautiful and wonderful gift from God and to envision how to use their gifts, talents and strengths to be a light for others.
Sophomore Retreat is a one-day retreat held on campus on November 10 and 12, 2026, with half of the sophomore class attending retreat each day. The Sophomore Retreat theme is “Live the Call,” as students explore God’s call to discipleship. On this retreat, students begin to discover how God is calling them to be in relationship with Him, others and the world. The retreat focuses on serving others.
Quest is the retreat for juniors. Juniors are invited to participate in one of three Quest retreats located at Whispering Winds Conference Center or Palomar Christian Conference Center. Retreatants will discover and explore their own personal quest to help “Build God’s Kingdom” as they move through their high school years and beyond. These retreats leave Wednesday after school and return by 2:30 pm Friday at the end of the school day. All meals and accommodations are provided.
Sign-ups will open in Fall 2026. Please select only one retreat. If your first choice is full, you may put your name on the waitlist for that retreat and sign up for your second retreat choice to be sure you have the opportunity to go. In choosing a date for your Quest retreat, please carefully consider sports seasons, extracurricular involvement and other academic and personal obligations. If you are on a team or in drama, it is best to reach out to your coach, drama teacher, etc., to confirm your best retreat date option. Please note any allergies or dietary restrictions on your sign-up.

Seniors are invited to participate in one of five Kairos retreats located at Palomar Christian Conference Center. Graduating seniors often comment that Kairos is a life-changing event. The retreat is a three-day, two-night experience.
