Active Members versus Inactive Members
An active member not only fulfills the academic requirements for CSF membership, but also participates in chapter activities at a level predetermined by the chapter adviser and officers; it is expected that such participation should exemplify the CSF motto of “Scholarship for Service.” Members active for 4 semesters will receive at graduation;
Certificate, CSF Lamp Pin, Seal on Diploma and Gold Stole.
Inactive members are still entitled to consideration for the required awards at graduation but may be excluded from other optional awards and chapter privileges (e.g., field trips, banquets, chapter scholarships, etc.). Members that are inactivefor less than 4 semesters will receive at graduation; Certificate, CSF Lamp Pin, Seal on Diploma.
SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY
Today’s chapters continue to foster the recognition, motivation, and education of academically talented students. Chapter memberships promote the CSF ideal of service to their communities. YOU WILL NEED TO PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY SERVICE TO BECOME AN ACTIVE MEMBER. WE WILL REVIEW THIS DURING OUR FIRST MEETING.
