When – The application drive begins on Monday, September 20th until October 1st at 2:20pm for the fall semester of 2021. Sophomores have the opportunity to register in the spring.
Where – We will not be accepting paper applications because of the pandemic.
With 4 semesters of membership (at least 1 semester in senior year) you earn “Life Member” status and garner awards at graduation. Members become part of an academic society and are able to apply for scholarship opportunities.
Active Members versus Inactive Members:
An active member not only fulfills the academic requirements for CSF membership, but also participates in chapter activities at a level predetermined by the chapter adviser and officers; it is expected that such participation should exemplify the CSF motto of “Scholarship for Service.” Members active for 4 semesters will receive at graduation: Certificate, CSF Lamp Pin, Seal on Diploma and Gold Stole.
Inactive members are still entitled to consideration for the required awards at graduation but may be excluded from other optional awards and chapter privileges (e.g., field trips, banquets, chapter scholarships, etc.). Members that are inactive for less than 4 semesters will NOT receive at graduation; Certificate, CSF Lamp Pin, Seal on Diploma.
Service To The Community:
Today’s chapters continue to foster the recognition, motivation, and education of academically talented students. Chapter memberships promote the CSF ideal of service to their communities. YOU WILL NEED TO PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY SERVICE TO BECOME AN ACTIVE MEMBER. WE WILL REVIEW THIS DURING OUR FIRST MEETING. THE INFORMATION AND DATE OF FIRST MEETING WILL BE ON OUR SCHOOLOGY CLUB PAGE.
