Parents in Prayer

Every Tuesday

8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. on Zoom

Parents in Prayer is a group of CCHS parents who meet once a week during the school year to pray the Rosary for our children, our families, our friends, our faculty and staff at CCHS, and our priests (as well as any other intentions you may have).

Parents in Prayer was founded by Martha McRoskey over 20 years ago at St. James Academy in Solana Beach. Martha expanded the organization to many Catholic Elementary and High Schools throughout the San Diego Diocese. Martha began the group of parents praying the Rosary weekly, for the well-being of the students at the school. The prayers quickly expanded to include the school faculty and staff, families, alumni, and our priests and bishops.

At CCHS, we carry on the tradition founded by Martha McRoskey by praying the Rosary for the well-being of our Students especially, as well as the entire CCHS Community, Alumni, and our Priests and Bishops.

Every CCHS parent is welcome. There are no dues, no requirements for service, and we even provide the rosaries and prayer sheets (just in case you have forgotten the words to the Apostle’s Creed). Drop in for a decade or stay for the whole Rosary – no RSVP necessary!

We will begin this 2021/2022 school year by praying together on Zoom due to the surges in the Covid-19 Delta variant, but we hope to be able to pray in-person, on-campus when it is safe to do so.  We want to honor the wishes of CCHS in protecting in-person learning for our students.

Please email Jennay Gunderson at or for the Zoom link.  If you cannot make it but have a prayer intention you wish to have included, you can also email Jennay your intention.
