Congratulations on reaching the end of the 2020-2021 school year!

Below is information by graduation year explaining what happens with iPads.

Class of 2021

Please read all information in this section completely.

Congratulations on your graduation!
You may purchase your current 10.5 inch iPad Air 3 (WiFi only, 64 GB) for $275 or you can elect to return your iPad, cable, and charger at any of the following opportunities:

If you are choosing to PURCHASE your iPad, you may do so now. You will receive an email after the conclusion of school to let you know it has been released from our servers and restrictions have been removed. DO NOT ERASE OR RESTORE YOUR DEVICE UNTIL YOU RECEIVE THIS NOTICE!

Your cchsdons.com account will remain active UNTIL JULY 2022. You will be notified again closer to that time that your account will be deactivated. Please move any photos or data and forward any emails from your cchsdons.com account to your personal gmail account as soon as possible to avoid losing any information.

Class of 2023

It’s time to swap your iPad for a new model for your Junior and Senior years!   

We will be holding sessions in the Academic Center to come and swap your device. You may purchase your current iPad here for $275 if you want to keep it. 

Your new iPad will be a 10.2 inch 8th Generation iPad with 128 GB storage. 

** Please note: it is REQUIRED for students to swap their iPad for a new device.  

When you come to your session, please have done the following steps if you plan to return your device: 
1. Remove your Passcode (Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > Turn off Passcode) 
2. Turn off Find My iPad (Settings > Apple ID [name] > Find My > Find My iPad at top) 

If your current iPad is damaged in any way, you will be required to pay the $49 AppleCare+ deductible or the cost of the device (if you have no incidents remaining).

When the time comes, be sure to:

  • TURN OFF your Find My iPad
    (Settings > Apple ID [Name at the top] > Find My)
  • Remove your PASSCODE
    (Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > Turn Off Passcode)

Your device is covered by AppleCare+ insurance. As long as you have not used your 2 incidents included in your insurance, you are covered in the event of accidental damage with a $49 deductible. Contact the Tech Office to make payment. You can return your damaged device at your swap appointment when payment is made.

If you have consumed your insurance and accidental damage occurs, you will be responsible for the $200 cost. 

Students leaving CCHS are required to return their iPad, charger, and cable in good condition. Failure to return will result in a charge of $200.

Class of 2022

Your current iPad will be kept for senior year.

Students leaving CCHS are required to return their iPad, charger, and cable in good condition.  Failure to return will result in a charge of $250.

Class of 2024

Your current iPad will be kept for sophomore year.

Students leaving CCHS are required to return their iPad, charger, and cable in good condition. Failure to return will result in a charge of $250.

Damaged iPad Information

If your iPad is damaged you will need to replace it using AppleCare+ Insurance prior to swapping or returning.

If it’s close to the end of school, please return your broken device and be prepared to pay the $49 AppleCare+ fee to the school. The Tech Office will handle the replacement for you.

Check Your AppleCare+ Expiration Date

IMPORTANT:

  • The date of expiration is the first day of NO coverage. For example, if your expiration date is 5/31/2019, the last day you can submit for repair is 5/30/2019.
  • If the device is returned to CCHS damaged and AppleCare+ expired, you will be responsible for the full cost of the device. 

The AppleCare+ policies on school issued iPads are valid for three years – which means that yours may be expiring very soon. You will need the serial number from your iPad which can be found in the Settings > General > About

You will be asked to login with your Apple ID and password. Then under the My Devices section, if you don’t see the device, click the “See All My Devices +” link.

Apple Cord and Charger

Missing or damaged chargers and cables will be billed at $20 for the charger and $20 for the cable. We can only accept official Apple chargers and cables in good working condition. Smaller iPhone chargers and non Apple branded chargers and cables are not acceptable.
