Faith in Action – Parent Volunteers Needed!

In keeping with the Cathedral Catholic philosophy of working closely with parents, we highly encourage families to find service to enjoy together (see page with service opportunities). This modeling of servant leadership is a powerful educational tool and forms habits and ‘ways of being’ that enlighten young people and encourage the formation of a lifelong commitment to helping others.

Parents – we NEED you!  Our Faith In Action Service Day Trips relies on parent drivers and chaperones.

There are three trips a week being coordinated almost every week of the school year, so we need A LOT of PARENT PARTICIPATION.

You can volunteer one time, or even multiple times, as much as you’d like. We APPRECIATE REPEAT VOLUNTEERS! Volunteering is EASY and UPLIFTING, and so very HELPFUL! We promise you will come back PROUD to be a DON PARENT.

TUESDAYS: Our Juniors spend mornings with senior citizens at Nazareth House & the Gary and Mary West Center. Some Juniors will help with food donations at Feeding San Diego.

WEDNESDAYS: Sophomores go into four Catholic elementary schools and interact with younger students.

THURSDAYS: Freshman serve our homeless neighbors lunch at Fr. Joe’s Village/St. Vincent de Paul.

Come be a model Servant Leader and put your own FAITH in ACTION!
