Brennan Wilhite, Class of 2017, was recently named a High School Volleyball All-American by PrepVolleyball.com. Megan Faraimo, Class of 2018, was also recognized under the category of Highest Honorable Mention. Both girls played on the CCHS varsity team that recently won the 2016 California CIF Division II State Championship. Way to go ladies!

Brennan has also been invited to participate in the U.S. Women’s National Team Open Tryouts, being one of ten high school volleyball athletes that were invited to compete for a spot on the team. The tryout will evaluate 245 athletes from 82 colleges and 10 high schools from across the country for spots on the U.S. Women’s National Team and the U.S. Collegiate National Team program. While there, Brennan will also be competing for a spot on the 2017 U.S. Women’s Junior National Team. In 2016, Brennan was a member of the U.S. Women’s Junior National Training Team. In the fall, Brennan plans to play on the volleyball team at USC.

Tryouts for the Women’s National Team will be held March 3-5 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Good luck to Brennan!
