Class of 2020 National Merit Scholars

Cathedral Catholic High School is pleased to announce that sixteen students scored well enough on the 2018 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test to receive recognition in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Congratulations to Aidan Hallinan, Nathan Nash, Daniel Paul, and Maxwell Wilson for being named semifinalists in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program.  About 1.5 million seniors in more than 21,000 high schools entered the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2018 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which served as an initial screen of program entrants. The nationwide pool of semifinalists, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, including the highest scoring entrants in each state.

Furthermore, about 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise.  Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2020 competition by taking the 2018 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.  The following Dons have been named Commended Students:
