As part Cathedral Catholic’s China Genius Workshops, six students visited San Francisco’s Chinatown on March 2nd.
After arriving at Dragon Gate in Chinatown, students visited Old St. Mary’s Church, the first cathedral built in California. Students then visited the Red Blossom Tea House to learn more about traditional tea culture…and of course had to taste some really good tea. After visiting the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory and Chinatown’s fruit market, students stopped for lunch at the House of Nanking. The day concluded with visits to Portsmouth Square, the Chinese Culture Center, and the Chinese Historical Museum.
