Dons’ Athletic Club Members,

The Dons’ Athletic Club is our athletic communities fundraising arm of our Athletic Department. The Dons’ Club is responsible for raising funds to enhance the programs that we offer at Cathedral Catholic High School.

Our Athletic Department offers 41 sports and over 80 teams that encourage students with diverse athletic interests to challenge themselves on the field of play. We offer all sports, from Football to Water Polo and everything in between. Nearly 75% of our students participate in our athletic programs in which students are able to use their God-given talents to compete and challenge themselves athletically.

The Dons’ Athletic Club raises funds in several different ways:

  1. Membership
  2. The Wine and Microbrew Tasting Social
  3. Donations

Please review the different levels of membership and select the one that fits your family. Depending on your level of membership you will receive merchandise to show your school spirit and entrance to all league and pre-season football and basketball games. Additionally, you may designate a portion of your membership dollars to the athletic program of your choice.   The Wine and Microbrew Tasting event is the largest and best parent community activity we have at Cathedral Catholic, proceeds from this event go to supporting fundraising efforts like turfing the lower field and new weight equipment.

A Message from our President:

In the spirit of innovation, we have been rethinking our fundraising efforts for the new school year. In the area of athletics, we have sponsored, Dons’ Athletic Club memberships, the Save Our School’s (SOS) Farmers Insurance Open golf tournament ticket sales to benefit the athletic program, the Alumni Golf Tournament and everyone’s favorite, the Dons’ Club Spring Social. Each of these activities and events have been designed to meet the needs of our parents, students, benefactors and the overall school community.

We will no longer be asking parents to sell passes from the Century Club of San Diego for the Farmers Insurance Open golf tournament, which typically meant a minimum donation of $90 per family (with the Dons’ Club receiving just $60 of the $90). Instead, we hope that every family with a student athlete will join the Dons’ Athletic Club this school year. There are many levels of membership available in the Dons’ Athletic Club. These memberships directly support our fine athletic program and have been successful in providing a strong financial foundation that has helped us expand our athletic offerings so that there is a sport for almost everyone at Cathedral. Alumni, alumni parents and grandparents, and friends are also invited to join to demonstrate their continued support.
