Friday, June 9


11 AM to 3:30 PM Our Hospitality Room will be the Del Mar Room on the first floor of the Hampton Inn, San Diego/Del Mar.  It will be open during the day for you to drop in and visit with friends.  Free beer, wine, sodas and sandwiches will be provided so come by and relax before or after check-in.

 


4 to 7 PM Join us for some delicious heavy hors d’oeuvres and no host drinks at Tio Leo’s just across the cul de sac from our hotel.  They have great happy hour drink prices from $3-6 for their famous margarita, well drinks, and imported and domestic beers. $12.00 per person.

We will have our own room.

7 PM to ???  We can walk across to our Hospitality Room at the Hampton Inn so you can continue the conversations and keep sipping your beverage of choice.

Morning:  A golf outing is planned for anyone interested.  .

Reunion Dinner at Cathedral Catholic High School

6 PM  Cocktails & hors d’oeuvres on the God & Country Terrace

7 PM  Dinner and program in the Library

Just 6 minutes up the road from our hotel makes Cathedral Catholic an easy drive.  The hotel also provides free shuttle service within 5 miles if you don’t have a car.

We have a special arrangement with Cathedral Catholic for a hosted bar with top shelf liquor, wine & beer and a served catered dinner.  Everything is included.  We’ll nibble on tasty hors d’oeuvres on the terrace and watch the sun go down over Del Mar before heading inside for a delicious sit-down dinner.  Your entrée choices include:  sirloin steak with a red wine reduction sauce, prosciutto and spinach stuffed chicken breast with mushroom sauce, and pan seared mahi-mahi with yellow pepper and citrus salsa.  For vegetarians:  wild mushroom ravioli with a sherry cream sauce.

The Dons Alumni Association is hosting any priests & teachers from our era who wish to attend.

There will be lots of time for pictures and reminiscing.  We will have a memorabilia table so feel free to bring anything you might want to display.

Because of generous support from an anonymous classmate, we are able to offer the full evening at a reduced cost of $35.00 per person.


Sunday, June 11


 

 

10 AM   We will have a Class Mass just for our group inAlumni Park on Cathedral Catholic’s campus.  Afterwards, there will be a continental breakfast in Alumni Park.  Join us for both or just brunch, and a last chance for connections and/or good-byes if you are departing midday.  $5 per person Alumni Park is all grass, so please wear appropriate shoes.

Afternoon: 1:40 PM Padres game vs. the Kansas City Royals in PetCo Park.

Those at brunch can leave directly from Cathedral Catholic and we’ll all meet up at the ballpark.

Our group will have exclusive use of the Pacifico Porch overlooking left field with plenty of places to sit or to roam around and chat.  The package includes a Padres cap, buffet and free flowing beer.  The buffet will offer chopped Caesar salad, hamburgers, Friar Frank hot dogs, veggie dogs (on request), soft drinks & bottled water.

There will even be 3rd inning snacks: traditional roasted peanuts and Cracker Jacks!

Parking is not included, but plans will be made for carpooling or travel by SD Trolley.

Because of the generous support of another Uni classmate, this package is offered at half-price:  Cost is $35 per person.

There will be a Uni High Class of ’67 50th Reunion photobook created on Shutterfly following the event.  It will include the big class group shot and there will be a class contact directory as well.  Because of a generous subsidy we can offer this great value at no cost.  If you wish one, we ask  that you pay only shipping cost of $7.50.

We have a block of rooms held with special pricing under the name: Uni High Class of ’67.

Pricing is $175/night plus tax and includes parking, free WiFi, and breakfast. Kings and double doubles are available.

Facilities include a pool, business office & fitness room.

Room costs in San Diego are very high in the summer so we are lucky to get this price.  If our block fills and there are still rooms available they will increase the block.  Special pricing will be held until May 8. After that it reverts back to the prevailing rate and no rooms will be held, so make your reservations early.  If you wish to extend your stay at that rate please consult with Nikki Page, sales manager at the hotel, to see about availability.

This location is incredibly convenient to both Tio Leo’s and Cathedral for our events, with easy freeway access.  There is a complimentary hotel shuttle that can take you to Cathedral for our events.
