El CidEl Cid, the student-run newspaper at Cathedral Catholic High School, is meant to be a learning opportunity for members of the El Cid Club. Subject to prior review by the administration, El Cid allows members to evaluate and research newsworthy issues that concern students at C.C.H.S. Fine Arts credit applicable to graduation is offered in after-school journalism classes for writers and editors. News, feature, opinion, and sports writing/reporting are taught by the adviser along with any necessary instruction/inquiry in photography, layout, polling, and advertising. Real-life experiences in interviewing, publishing, composing, and independent inquiry, along with the invaluable direct feedback from peers and faculty, make El Cid integral to our school community. |
