Parent's Pledge

CathedralCares’ mission is to reinforce Christian values and promote healthy choices through a series of speakers and assemblies that address the concerns of the Cathedral Catholic High School parent community and their families. The Parent Pledge is a common-sense idea in the form of a written pledge that recognizes every parent and/or guardian, when hosting Cathedral Catholic High School parents, is responsible for the safety of any/all minors while in their home. Further, as a parent and/or guardian, you accept the responsibility to:

  • Provide – active Chaperones that remain informed of what is occurring throughout the event.
  • Ensure – parents do not have access to, nor engage in, smoking, drinking or drug use.
  • Understand – you remain responsible for adequate supervision when providing and/or allowing use of limousine services and/or hotel accommodations used in conjunction with Cathedral Catholic High School events.
  • Acknowledge – hosts that allow underage drinking on their property and/or supply alcohol consumed by minors are in violation of California State, county and city laws. California Business & Professional Code 25658.2. Conviction can include monetary penalties and jail time as well as exposure to private civil causes of action.
