BandBand 1-2 (Yr) UC Approved Grade 10-12 Cathedral Catholic High School
Students perform beginning and intermediate level music from selected periods of music history. The student develops invaluable skills in technical proficiency, aesthetic valuing, individual character and team building. Students learn the theory and history of the music performed. Students are provided an arena where they can grow in both their performance and understanding of historical, stylistic, cultural, and cross curricula relationships in the world of music. Required participation in performances and festivals.

Students learn to read and play music on the guitar. Technical proficiency will be developed through the study of simple melodies, chords and musical styles. Students will develop a repertoire of introductory level music. Required participation in performances and festivals. Students must provide their own guitar.
