AP CALCULUS AB: Now that the AP Exam is over, students need to be practicing problems for their final exam. See the dates below and exam information. We will also be having a Quiz on the 18th (our 8th Quiz therefore 2 low quizzes will be dropped). GO TO ASSIGNMENTS (16TH) to see Quiz topics.
Calculus Students: The 2012 Review Folder in AP Calculus AB resource contains the answer keys to the last two free-response packets you received. Check your work on these with those packets. Continue to work as many problems that you can. Go over all your derivative and integral formulas. Don't forget the basics.
Finals in May for AP Calculus will be cumulative and based on both semester topics. Format the same as an AP. Here are the dates and what will be covered on them: May 22nd (A students do not need to take this part of the final; please bring a book to read, no phones, computers or ipads allowed out in the room during this period) we will have 4 free-response problems, topics will be: 1.) area/volume problem 2.) an "integral defined as a function" problem, 3) Position, Veloc, Acceler, Speed, Total Distance 4.) Given F(x), find max/min, concavity etc.
May 24th will be the multiple choice noncalculator portion.
The multiple choice calculator portion will be on the scheduled final exam day for seniors (on the calendar). May 29th, period 1 and 2; May 31st is period 3.
