PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Today is Monday of the 25th week of Ordinary Time. Today we remember Saint Thomas of Villanueva (d. 1555), Augustinian bishop. Today's prayer was written by CCHS student Nick Centera class of 2009. Together let us pray: We adore you, Lord Jesus Christ, here and in all your churches in the whole world; and we bless you, because by your Holy Cross, you have redeemed the world. Saint Paul - Pray for Us. Lord, thank you for all that You have given to this world. The gifts and wonders that You have blessed us with. Please, Lord, help us to appreciate what You have given to us. Thank you for the gift of living with one another and help us all to stop the fighting with each other. Help guide us to appreciate and love one another and respect Your great creation that we live on. Amen.
IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER,…

THOUGHT OF THE DAY: "Adventure isn't hanging on a rope off the side of a mountain. Adventure is an attitude that we must apply to the day to day obstacles of life - facing new challenges, seizing new opportunities, testing our resources against the unknown and in the process, discovering our own unique potential." John Amatt

PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Today is Thursday of the 25th week of Ordinary Time. Today we remember St. Sergius (d. 1392), abbot. Today's prayer is in the Greek Orthodox tradition. We use this prayer to remind ourselves of the ties we share with people of faith throughout the world. Together let us pray: We adore you, Lord Jesus Christ, here and in all your churches in the whole world; and we bless you, because by your Holy Cross, you have redeemed the world. Saint Paul - Pray for Us. Having risen from sleep, we worship You, blessed God, and sing to You, mighty Lord, the angelic hymn: Holy, holy, holy are You, O God; through the prayers of the Theotokos, have mercy on us. Glory to the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Having awakened me from sleep, Lord, enlighten my mind and heart. Open my lips to praise You Holy Trinity: Holy, holy, holy are You, O God; through the prayers of the Theotokos, have mercy on me. Both now and forever and to the ages of ages. Suddenly the Judge will come and the deeds of all will be revealed. Therefore, early in the morning let us cry out in awe: Holy, holy, holy are you, O God; through the prayers of the Theotokos have mercy on us. Amen. IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER,…

THOUGHT OF THE DAY: " Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." Confucius
