Cathedral Catholic Star Gala
The 2010 Star Gala was an evening of generous giving by parents, sponsors, businesses and our very own ambassadors. Thanks are extended to all who made the event such a success! Our highest level sponsor was The William and Kathryn Scripps Family Foundation. We are also grateful to our other sponsors, The Thomas J. and Theodora Lynch Fleming Foundation and the Eisendrath Realty. Approximately 300 attendees bid on a vast array of silent and live auction items. Mark Wayne donated his time to serve as our Master of Ceremonies and Auctioneer. Marcus and Susan Presar were the lucky winners of the 2010/2011FreeTuition Drawing. While enjoying a gourmet meal guests were entertained with spontaneous operatic singing by “The Three Waiters.” Their outburst of song pleased the audience and got everyone in the mood for dancing to the sounds of the band “Kicks.” Thanks are again extended to the wonderful Star Gala committee members who worked so hard to make the event a success especially Decorations Chair Maria Parnell, Auction Chair Shelly Batten, Invitation Chair Aida de la Rosa, Sponsor Chair Bari Vaz and Program Ad Chair Tony Whitmarsh. |
