On Tuesdays, the St. Patrick Catholic Church offers a soup kitchen which is free to the community. Roughly 100-200 people are served during each event. Kitchen helpers are often needed as well as “greeters.” St. Patrick Catholic Church is located in Carlsbad.

SAVE THE DATE for the Surfrider Foundation San Diego County Chapter’s 23rd Annual Paddle for Clean Water on Sunday, September 21st from 9am-12pm in Ocean Beach. The event will feature hundreds of surfers and ocean enthusiasts paddling around the Ocean Beach Pier in an effort to raise awareness about the need for clean water and healthy coastlines.
