International Student
Admission Policies
You need to be aware of the following before you apply:
- In order for an international student to attend CCHS, he/she must meet the regularly published criteria for admission.
- If the student plans on receiving a diploma from CCHS, he/she must attend CCHS for at least two years.
- If the student is not receiving a diploma, he/she may attend, but he/she will take the courses equivalent to the grade level at his/her own school. Each student will be evaluated individually.
- Each student must achieve an acceptable score of 500 (173 if computer-based test) on the test of English as a Langauge (TOEFL) or Secondary Language English Proficency Test (SLEP) or their equivalents. He/she must also have an oral communication with a CCHS counselor or administrator.
- The student must come to CCHS through a reputable exchange program or be a resident in the home of a relative. The student is responsible for finding a residence. This residence must be approved by the school and must be secured before acceptance to CCHS.
- CCHS does not provide English as a Second Lanuage (ESL) for a student coming from a country where English is not the predominant language. The student must be ready to matriculate into classes where only English is taught.
- All applicants must provide an approved translation of their transcripts. Specific course titles must be given to general names (example: “Algebra” for “Math”)
- No admission until an up-to-date immunization record is submitted or a copy thereof.
